Meet the ECCA 2014 winners

SLA Europe DigiComms

Earlier this month, we announced the winners of the SLA Europe Early Career Conference Awards 2014. The winners are Michelle Bond, Rosie Hare, and Lindsay Robinson and are co-sponsored by SLA Europe, Academic Division, Leadership & Management Division, and Legal Division (supported by Jones McClure Publishing). Michelle, Rosie, and Lindsay will be attending the SLA 2014 Conference and INFO-EXPO in Vancouver, Canada and, as part of the experience, have been assigned a mentor from SLA Europe and a mentor from their Division.

Meet our winners below and read how attending the SLA Conference will impact them.

Michelle BondMichelle Bond is a trainee faculty librarian at Liverpool Hope University with interests in information literacy teaching, reading and the use of social media in higher education. A recent graduate of the iSchool at the University of Sheffield, Michelle wrote her dissertation on recreational reading in academic libraries. Prior to becoming a librarian Michelle lived and worked in 6 different countries.

“I’m really looking forward to the conference in Vancouver as it’s an invaluable opportunity to meet and learn from international librarians. I’m also really excited to learn more about and get involved in the work of Academic Division and SLA Europe.”
