SLA Europe announces its 2015 Leadership Team

London, UK – 5 December 2014 – SLA Europe, the European Chapter of the SLA, announces its leadership team for 2015.

Announcing the 2015 Leadership Team Don Roll (President SLA Europe 2014) congratulates John Coll on his appointment as President Elect for 2015: “On behalf of the 2014 SLA Europe Board, I would like to congratulate John Coll on his appointment as President Elect for 2015. John has been instrumental in organising SLA events in Scotland for several years. I look forward to working with John and Sam Wiggins, our 2015 President in my role next year as Past President.”

John Coll commented; “It’s a great honour to be appointed President–Elect for SLA Europe. The diverse membership and global reach of SLA reflects its role in encompassing all types of special libraries and does, I believe, demonstrate its uniqueness. I am keen to work with the Board to support SLA Europe in continuing its excellent range of activities and events.

Sam Wiggins (President SLA Europe 2015) commented: “ SLA Europe members are well served by a highly committed and hard working set of board and committee volunteers – it is thanks to them we will have another great year ahead of us full of high quality events, blog posts, awards and much more!”

In the year ahead the SLA Europe Board will be working to continue to provide informative events and programmes for a growing European membership. They will also be looking for new opportunities to collaborate with other industry organisations on key topics of interest. There will be a focus on ensuring continued financial support for young industry professionals to attend the annual SLA Conference in Boston next July and providing professional development opportunities to the wider membership.
