The SLA annual conference in Boston may seem like an unobtainable dream for members based in Europe. However, each year, thanks to the generosity of different SLA Chapters, opportunities to apply for awards are made available to SLA members.

SLA Europe’s ECCAs (Early Career Conference Awards), thanks to collaboration with the Legal Division and Competitive Intelligence divisions, will let two lucky members attend. The final deadline is midnight on 20th February, so hurry up and apply!

Winners and unsuccessful applicants will be notified no later than Friday 27th March 2015.Contact our Chair of the Early Career & Awards Committee at earlycareers@sla-europe.org, for further information.

Just opened, the Joe Ann Clifton Student Award offers a place to an exceptional Library and Information Science studen, as well as student membership of SLA for one year. Applicants write a paper on an IT-related topic which will be published in b/ITe, the official Division newsletter. Closing date for submissions is 6th March.
