Do you know a colleague or peer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty? An SLA member who should be honoured for his or her dedication, leadership, mentoring, and innovative approach to work? A librarian or information professional who has made an impact on your career or the careers of others, or has furthered the interests and sustainability of SLA or the information profession?

The SLA Awards and Honours Committee is seeking nominations of extraordinary individuals who have made a significant impact on, or notable strides in, the information profession and SLA. Selected nominees will be honoured for their achievements at the SLA 2016 Annual Conference in Philadelphia on June 12.

Nominations are due Friday, December 11. If you know someone who would be a deserving recipient of one of the following awards and honours, nominate him or her today! Members can self-nominate for any of the awards.

  • John Cotton Dana Award
  • SLA Hall of Fame
  • Fellow of SLA
  • Rose L. Vormelker Award
  • SLA Rising Star
