… bringing the Special Libraries Association (SLA) to information professionals across Europe

SLA Europe currently offers a number of annual awards.

The Early Career Conference Award is given to one or more LIS professionals who are within the first five years of their career or are enrolled in a European graduate-level programme in the LIS field.

The Conference Award recognised outstanding achievement in the information profession amongst those living and working in Europe (formerly the SLA Europe Information Professional Award).

The Dissertation Prize programme ran for five years to 2009.  Prizes were given to Masters-level LIS students at Brighton, London Metropolitan, Loughborough and Sheffield universities. Staff at each university selected the best dissertation based on research on a subject pertinent to those working in special libraries.
