… bringing the Special Libraries Association (SLA) to information professionals across Europe

Awards

SLA offers three annual awards.

The Conference Award recognises outstanding achievement in the information profession amongst those living and working in Europe (formerly the SLA Europe Information Professional Award (SLA E IP))

3 of the 2010 ECCA winners with SLA CEO Janice Lachance

Three of the 2009 ECCA winners with SLA CEO Janice Lachance

The Early Career Conference Award is given to one or more LIS professionals who are within the first five years of their career or are enrolled in a European graduate-level programme in the LIS field.

The Dissertation Prize is given to a currently enrolled Masters-level LIS student in the following programmes: Brighton, London Metropolitan, Loughborough and Sheffield universities. Staff at each university select the best dissertation based on research on a subject pertinent to those working in special libraries.
