SLA Europe is proud to present an evening of talks kindly hosted by UCL Department of Information Studies. Aimed at students and new professionals we will be asking nine information professionals to share their wisdom and experience in short focused presentations.

These ten minute talks will aim to give insights into the current role/career story of speakers from a variety of sectors and to share career advice for students and new professionals. Speakers range from senior professionals to new professionals in the field and include winners of SLA’s Early Career Conference Award.

The event will include free drinks and nibbles, kindly sponsored by CB Resourcing and an opportunity to network with the speakers and fellow attendees.

We’ll aim to gather at 18.15 for an 18.30 start.

SLA Europe is a thriving network of information professionals: individuals and organisations within the UK and across Europe come together in SLA Europe to benefit from each others’ knowledge and experience.

Speakers include:

Katharine Schopflin, Information Governance Lead at the London Borough of Hackney and SLA Europe President.

Seema Rampersad, Senior Business Researcher and Service Manager at the British Library’s Business & IP Centre.

Marie Cannon, Knowledge and Information Officer at law firm Clifford Chance LLP and SLA Europe Past President.

Leanne Workman, Acting Head of Academic Liaison at Royal Holloway, University of London.
