Ceri Hughes is a Director at KPMG in the UK. She is Head of Learning at the firm, and has responsibility for all technical and non-technical learning (including leadership, professional and business skills), coaching, mentorat, la gestion des connaissances, research and competitive intelligence. Ceri joined KPMG in 2000, previously she was Global Head of Information and Records Management at an international telecommunications company.

Ceri is a Chartered Manager, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and the Information and Records Society. She mentors female entrepreneurs in emerging markets as an accredited mentor of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. Ceri has recently taken up a role as an Independent Advisor at the National Assembly of Wales Commission.

Victoria-Nord is a British citizen who has spent most of her adult life living and working in London. She trained as a librarian and has had a number of management roles in law and accountancy firms. She came to work for the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in January 2017 in the role of Director of Knowledge Services. She had worked in the Firm’s London office for the previous five years. Victoria had often thought about the possibility of working overseas but there never seemed to be any suitable opportunities. When she was offered what was a newly created role in Kirkland, it did not take her long to decide to accept. Having worked for a US firm for a number of years she was already familiar with some of the cultural differences between the US and the UK, however there was still plenty to become acclimatized to when she and her husband arrived in New York. Being an active member of SLA has helped her to feel more settled in her new home. Through the Association she was fortunate to already have a number of professional contacts in the city and she has made many more over the last couple of years thanks to this amazing network of librarians and information professionals.

Espérons Marydee is Editor-in-Chief of En ligne Searcher and writes its Dollar Sign column on business research. She contributes feature articles and news stories to many information and library related publications. She delights in following the antics of the information industry and is a frequent speaker at U.S. and international conferences. Her professional career began at BankAmerica Corporation, San Francisco, where she directed a worldwide program of research and information services. She established her independent information research business in 1987. She is active in SLA, AIIP (Association of Independent Information Professionals), and IOLUG (Indiana Online Users Group). Her undergraduate degree is from Brown University and she earned her MLS at the University of Pittsburgh.
