In this webinar – adapted from her popular session at SLA 2014 – Marcy Phelps will answer these questions:

  • What is DataViz, what are its benefits, and what are some examples of how DataViz is being used?
  •  What are the steps in  the visual design and visual analysis processes?
  •  How can Info Pros add value to their information deliverables and to their organizations’ DataViz projects?

Bio:
As the founder and president of
Phelps Research, Marcy Phelps provides business research and analysis for marketing, financial services, and information professionals. She started her company in 2000 after earning her MLIS from the University of Denver.   Marcy is a past-president of the Association of Independent Information Professionals and a past-chair of SLA’s Advertising and Marketing Division. She is the author of Research on Main Street: Using the Web to Find Local Business and Market Information and a frequent speaker on a variety of topics, from developing a strategy for market insights to business due diligence.
