With our own Early Career Conference Award just launched and the awards season around the corner, this month’s Wednesday Webinar provides the perfect opportunity to focus on how you can improve your success rate in award application.
With so many opportunities out there, Amy will give you a run-down of the various ways you can attend conferences and get funding for your continued professional development.
What will our Wednesday Webinar cover?
Using her experience both in applying for awards and in panelling them, Amy will look at:
- The key awards you can apply for
- What an award panel is looking for in an application
- Where to start with your application.
You will also have an opportunity to identify your own unique selling points for future applications.
About the speaker, Amy Stubbing
Amy is currently the Customer Care (Collections) Coordinator at Royal Holloway.
Both as a student and in her post-qualification years, Amy has actively sought professional development opportunities outside her day-to-day working roles and to build her skills and knowledge of the wider sector. As part of her work managing and volunteering within the sector, Amy frequently chairs recruitment panels, and has sat on various award panels, both of which have given her a good insight into what makes both a strong application and candidate.
Following her own successful application for the Early Career Conference Award in 2017, Amy has actively volunteered with SLA. She is currently the Digicomms Chair for SLA Europe and manages its successful Wednesday Webinar programme
